Historically Inspired Properties are special properties that were built in the late years of the 1800’s and early 1900’s in an area call Lair Hill. Lair Hill is the area just a few block southwest from the city center; a lovely area with easy access downtown, PSU, OHSU, Naturopathic School and various other local pre-education schools.
The first property on the block is an Italianate house painted in brown and black trim with a beige base was built in 1888. An Italianate Victorian home is noted by the masculine square features of molding in a block style motif.
The Queen Anne Victorian is another favorite with more feminine features including soft curly cue designs and a pitched corner roof. This house is painted in shades of pink to ear mark the style. This house was built in 1876. It has been great inspiration to own a piece of time. These last two houses have been called the painted ladies by locals in the area.
The last of the three houses on this block is another house not as descriptive as the first two houses, but build shortly there after, 1905. This house has a more colonial classic look with small features of square and round markings.
Fortunately most all of the main basic plumbing and electrical have been updated to the 21st century to help maintain a stable healthy living space where you can plug in a computer, CD player or microwave etc.
