Cinco de Hip!

With Cinco de Mayo fast approaching, we’ve been thinking in terms of 5.

What are the 5 most frequently played songs on your playlist? The 5 best movies of all time? Ask any one of us, and in no time we’ll have a list of the 5 best al pastor tacos in Portland. The real question is, what are the 5 most popular items at Hip? It may depend on how you define ‘popular’ but here are five that are certainly in the conversation.

1. MOMENT BED by Huppé

This beautiful bed has clean lines and a simplistic design inspired by the authenticity of the past and the practicality of the present. Constructed with walnut veneer and featuring a tapered leg, this impressive piece is sure to stand the test of time. Every ‘moment’ spent in this bed is sure to provide relaxation and comfort.

It’s all in the name with this customizable sofa/sectional from Gus Modern. The new Mix Modular collection is a sleek, modern style sofa that comes in 5 basic components which can be combined in an unlimited number of variations. Each piece connects to the other by an integrated hardware system attached to the bottom of the sofa. You can mix and match fabrics on the different components for a fun, funky look or keep the pallet the same. Rearrange the pieces to create different configurations and if you find yourself moving to a larger space, adding more pieces is always an option.

The Parkdale Bi-Sectional is a classic design that copes well with any type of living space. The seat and back cushions contain eco-friendly synthetic-down fill, derived from recycled PET plastic. The chaise can be positioned on the left or the right side, with flippable seat and back cushions, allowing you to adjust the configuration to suit any room. Walnut-finished block feet are manufactured with 100% FSC®-Certified wood, in support of responsible forest management.

4. DIESIS by Natuzzi

If maximum comfort with minimum bulk is your cup of tea, then this is the perfect sofa model for you. The Diesis is a more compact model with lots of versatility. It’s available as a simple sofa, or you can build it out into a custom sized sectional, with the option to add manual or electric reclining motion to most seats. The headrest manually adjusts to an upright or flat position so you can control how much head and neck support you need, and like all Natuzzi pieces, it’s available in over 100 fabrics and leathers.

5. TAO by Nuevo

A timeless addition to any living space, this bench is created in the style of the modernist platform bench designed by George Nelson in 1946. Great for extra seating or use as a coffee table!
